Staying with Titans
Greg Bird is confident success is just around the corner for the Gold Coast Titans with the NSW rep star committed to the club until the end of 2013.
Bird has activated the clause in his contract for a fourth season at the Titans in 2013, rejecting the opportunity to test his value on the open market.
The former Cronulla Sharks lock had been linked with a return to the Shire or a move back to his hometown of Newcastle under Wayne Bennett, but the 28-year-old recently told the Titans he was happy to see out his deal on the Coast.
“We have just agreed for him to stay there for one more year,” Bird’s manager Gavin Orr confirmed.

damn, it would have been nice to see him come home to the sharks, but by 2014 he will be to old. shame.
would of been better if he came home to Newy. With a bit more mongrel in our pack a title is just round the corner
Move on Sharkies fans.
Yes it would have been nice to have him back ( a yr or two ago), now with the current squad we are more than adequately covered in the areas that he wld play.
We need to spend some $$$ on GOOD outside backs (namely centres).
Good luck to Birdie, but I’m not sure he wld have come back anyway.
